Clinical Experiences
There are 100 clinical facilities in the Baltimore/Washington, DC, metropolitan area where students participate in their clinical rotations.

Enrollment
Baltimore City Community College has a total enrollment of 4,500 full-time students and 6,000 evening students. The physical therapist assistant program has a total enrollment of 38 (16 men, 22 women).

Admission
The college operates on a semester basis (70 credits, 4 semesters). The academic year is from September to May. Graduation is held in May. Two summer sessions are available from June to July and July to August. Admission to the PTA program is based upon completion of prerequisite course work, which includes math, anatomy/physiology, psychology, and English. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is required in the courses. Twenty hours of physical therapy volunteer or work experience is required as well. The fall semester begins in September and ends in December; the spring semester begins in January and ends in May.

Tuition, fees and financial aid
Tuition is $88 per credit, and 15 credits is $1,320 per semester. Students must complete financial aid forms by June 1 of the preceding year. Students receive assistance from the following sources: Perkins Loan, college work-study, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, Pell Grants, and outside resources.

Student life
There are no dormitories on campus. The athletic program includes intercollegiate teams in several sports. Baltimore City Community College is located in Baltimore City; its harbor campus is located near Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The college is 20 minutes (21 miles) from the Baltimore Washington International Airport. Public transportation is available by bus and metro subway. The college is composed of the Liberty Campus and the Harbor Campus.
