Too much Exercise can be harmful to your health and may even cause relapse. Overexerting is bad and you don't need to do too much to get your desired results. When you push yourself too hard beyond your current Physical abilities, you're overexerting, and this could undo all the results you worked hard to get or damage your heart, and arteries, and lead to more injuries. While the mantra of "No Pain No Gain" is a motivator for some. it can be dangerous when taken to the extreme.

There are several signs of overexercising you should watch out for, when you start experiencing some or all of these signs, know that you may be overexerting.

FATIGUE

It’s normal to feel tired after exercise, but fatigue happens when your body hasn't fully recovered after you work out. You may feel excessively drained, especially during or right after workouts. Fatigue can also set in when you regularly don’t get enough fuel before you train. Your body then has to use its carbohydrate, protein, and fat reserves for energy, leaving you very exhausted.

IRRITABILITY AND AGITATION

Too much Exercise can affect your stress hormone levels, which can cause depression, mental fog, and mood changes. You may also experience restlessness, anxiety, and a lack of concentration.

PERSISTENT INJURIES OR MUSCLE PAIN

Extended muscle soreness and injuries that don’t heal are also signs of overexercising. Rest between workouts is vital to recovery. It’s harder for your body to heal when too much stress is placed on it, and you may have chronic injuries that will linger for a long time.

DECLINE IN PERFORMANCE

When you notice a decline in your performance level, it may be a result of too much exercise. You may find out you have less strength, agility, and endurance, which makes it more difficult to reach your training goals. Overexerting can slow down your reaction time and running speed.

DISTURBED SLEEP

When your stress hormones are out of balance, you may find it hard to relax and let go of tension at bedtime. This cuts into the crucial time your body needs to rest, repair, and restore itself during sleep. Lack of quality sleep can also lead to chronic fatigue and mood changes.

Above all, know when to take a break. If you have any injuries that need time to heal completely or if you’re experiencing burnout, during this time, stay away from any high-impact or intense forms of exercise. Give yourself time to make a full recovery. Rest is the most important factor, Relax and take a break from all activities. Slow down. Go for a Professional Massage. Schedule regular rest days after long and demanding workouts. To balance your stress level, you can do relaxing activities such as Meditation or Yoga. Eat a well-balanced diet.

The bottom line is excessive Exercise can be detrimental to your fitness goals and you should know when to stop to ensure that you get value for your hard work (Physical Activity) at the end of the day.
