Physical Therapy School Category: Physical Therapist Assistant Programs
General Program Description
The program has two faculty members. Classes start in the fall, and students spend an average of 20 hours per week in class. Graduation is in May each year.
Clinical Experiences
The clinical experiences include a full-time 5-week session after the first year and a full-time 12-week spring session in the second year.
Faculty
There are two full-time and four part-time faculty members. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:12.
Enrollment
Total enrollment is approximately 35,000. The PTA program accepts 24 students.
Admission
Students must complete core courses with a GPA of 3.0 which include English, Anatomy & Physiology I and Medical Terminology, and eligibility for Math 1280. Overall GPA of 2.7 or higher is expected in other coursework from all Colleges and Universities attended. Students must complete 40 hours of volunteer/ work experience in physical therapy. Students are accepted on a continuous enrollment and placed in the next class.
Outcomes
62% of admitted students graduate from the program (3-year average). 95% of graduates passed the license exam (3-year average). 99% of those program graduates responding to surveys are employed (3-year average).
Tuition, fees and financial aid
The 2013 estimated yearly cost for fees, tuition, and books was $5,000. Financial aid is available for those eligible. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 216/987-4100.
Student life
CCC is primarily a commuter college. There is no on-campus housing available; however, housing is available within 15 minutes of the campus.No Records Found
