Beginning in 2007, students are admitted to a 3 year DPT program beginning annually in May.

There were ten full-time academic faculty members and four full-time and one part time clinical faculty. Of the full-time academic faculty70% hold post-professional doctoral degrees, 30% are certified as clinical specialists, and 40% are engaged in clinical practice. Last year the faculty authored or co-authored 40 publications peer-reviewed journals. The faculty to student ratio is 1:6.5.Enrollment
More than 25,000 students are enrolled at the university. In the 2011-2012 admission process, 29students were admitted drawn from a pool of 161 applicants. The target enrollment for 2013 is 28 students.Admission
Admissions are dependent on the quality of the applicant pool. A maximum of 28 students will be enrolled each year. Applicants are accepted from the University of Connecticut and elsewhere with a bachelors degree. To be competitive, applicants should have at least a 3.2 average in prerequisite courses and overall. Above average Graduate Record Examination scores are also desirable if an applicant hopes to be competitive.Outcomes

The cost to attend the University of Connecticut as an in-state student averages $17995 per year (cost includes tuition [Fall, Spring and Summer] and general university fees). Limited on-campus housing is available for graduate students. The main campus occupies more than 3,004 rural acres.
